This woman is rising out of the ashes

into the brightest of flames

This woman is rising into a roar that fills her crown

This woman is rising to say NO to violence against women,

and to say YES to our strength

This woman is rising to tell her story and to rewrite herstory

This woman is rising to connect with herself

and to be her full self

This woman is rising to be with her sisters of every colour,

from every country, to be a global community

This woman is rising because it is essential to the world

for every one of us to rise

This woman is rising because she was hurting

and to take away the pain

This woman is rising to walk her own path

This woman is rising because she has the opportunity

and to welcome the possibilities

This woman is rising for the One Billion

This woman is rising to feel her joy, to feed her passion and to dance for her freedom.[1]
